In the opening bout of the UFC on FOX 23 main card, Jason Knight earned possibly the biggest win of his career when he choked out Alex Caceres in Denver, Colorado.

Knight (16-2) entered the Octagon to face Caceres (12-10, 1 NC) in a featherweight encounter which initially started off well for the man nicknamed “Bruce Leeroy” who found slight success with his unorthodox and wild fighting style.

But in the closing moments of the opening round, Knight scored his first takedown of the evening and would proceed to take Caceres’s back and lock in a rear-naked choke, but his attempt was halted by the bell at the end of the round.

The second round started much like the first as Leeroy would try to control the proceedings and he secured yet another takedown, where this time he was successfully able to lock in the rear-naked choke for the tap.

It was a well-worked win for Knight, who showed great composure throughout whilst Caceres evaded his numerous submission attemps. This win Knight advances his record to 3-1 inside the Octagon.
