Two of sport’s most dominant female athletes will defend their titles at UFC® 193: ROUSEY vs. HOLM in Melbourne, on November 14, which will take place at the Etihad Stadium.
UFC® today announced that strawweight title holder Joanna Jedrzejczyk will defend her title against Valérie Létourneau in an electric co main bout alongside Ronda Rousey’s main event title defence to Holly Holm.
After years of anticipation, Australia’s sporting capital will play host to the biggest combat sports event the country has witnessed. The stadium will no doubt attract fans from across the globe to witness an event full of fantastic match ups and thrilling title fights.
“Finally the UFC is coming to Melbourne in what will be the biggest UFC event EVER!” UFC president Dana White said. “There’s been a lot of talk about Melbourne, title fights and stadium shows. The UFC is doing all three at the Etihad Stadium in front of 70,000 people. Australia has been an amazing market for the UFC and to thank the Aussies for all of their support.”
