A heavyweight clash between Mark Godbeer and Todd Duffee is set to go down at UFC 209 according to news site Flo Combat.
Godbeer (11-3) made a disappointing start to life in the Ultimate Fighting Championship when he was at the wrong end of a 1st round submission loss to Justin Ledet at UFC Fight Night 99.
Entering the bout the 33-year old was riding a 3-fight win streak which included victories over Thomas Denham, Paul Taylor and Stuart Austin at BAMMA 25 – Champion vs. Champion. Now the man nicknamed “The Hand of God” will look to get in the win column for the first time in his UFC career when is faces Duffee.
Duffee (9-3) makes his return to action after almost 18-months of inactivity following a 1st round KO defeated to Frank Mir at UFC Fight Night 71 in July 15, 2015. Before the loss the American had secured back-to-back TKO wins coming against British standout Philip De Fries and fellow American Anthony Hamilton.
UFC 209 takes place on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
