An intriguing welterweight tussle has been added to next months UFC Hamburg card.

Norwegian standout Emil “Valhalla” Meek (9-3-1-1) will take on Poland’s Bartosz “The Butcher” Fabinski (13-2) in a battle of European standouts.

Entering the contest Frontline Academy trained Meek’s has racked up 9 wins so far as a professional, with 7 of those wins coming by way by knockout.

Unfortunately, in his last outing, the 29-year old who is considered one of Europe’s most promising welterweights was on the wrong end of a narrow unanimous decision loss to the No.6 ranked Kamaru Usman at UFC Fight Night 24 last January.

Now Meek will look to get back in the win column when he steps into the octagon in front of German fans at Hamburg’s Barclay Card Arena.

Hailing from Warsaw, Poland Bartosz Fabinski will be making his Octagon return after a 2-year absence looking to extend a 3-year, 6-fight unbeaten run stretching back to April 2015.

During this period, the former judoka who has never been taken down inside the octagon has defeated the likes of Gregor HerbGarreth McLellan, and Hector Urbina in his last outing at UFC Fight Night 78 and will be looking to record his fourth win under the UFC promotional banner on July 21.
