On this day two years ago Max Holloway secured a second-round TKO victory over Will Chope to begin his current 10-fight win streak which led to his title victory over Anthony Pettis at UFC 206 seeing him become the UFC interim featherweight champion.

‘Blessed’ entered the bout at UFC Fight Night 34 following back to back losses but put himself back in the winning column when he stopped Chope at 2.34 of the second round. Breaking free from a clinch against the cage Holloway sensed his fellow American was gassed and opened up with a barage of punches resulting in his opponent covering up and falling to the canvas.

Since this fight Holloway has notched victories over the likes of Cub Swanson, Charles Olievera, Jeremy Stephens and Ricardo Lamas, the 25-year old is now eyeing a future title unification bout against Jose Aldo.
