London, UK – Having recently announced that Ireland’s Conor “The Notorious” McGregor would be headlining the UFC’s Boston event on January 18th against Germany’s Dennis Siver, the UFC has now announced that another Irish name will appear on the highly anticipated fight card.

Paddy “The Hooligan” Holohan will take on American veteran Shane Howell in what is set to be an unforgettable flyweight match up.

With Holohan standing at 5ft 10 inches and Howell standing at 5ft 8 inches tall, this match up sees two of the UFC’s tallest flyweights go head to head.

On accepting the fight, Holohan said: “I’m so happy to be a part of the UFC card in Boston. We are going to recreate the same atmosphere we had in Dublin; it’ll be Dublin in Boston.”

“As I always say to the fans, I’m one of them and I know with the Boston crowd it will be the same, like home away from home. I know I’m the job to start that party over in Boston.”

On his opponent, Shane Howell, Holohan said: “I’ve seen a bit about him, his record suggests that he’s been around and I can’t wait to have a knock around with him.

“I don’t really do early predictions but I’m coming to finish this guy.”
