After the news of James Krause’s (23-7) withdrawal from his scheduled fight with Ross Pearson (19-12) broke, the Ultimate Fighting Championships have this morning taken to social media to announce who will replace the 30-year old American.

Up steps Stevie Ray (19-6) who will take on Pearson in a fight that will serve as the co-main event for next months UFC Belfast (Fight Night 99) card which takes place at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern.

The 26-year old Scotsman started life inside the octagon with a bang racking up 3 wins in a row before suffering his first loss since joining the promotion at the hands of Alan Patrick at UFC Fight Night 95 last month.

Now the former BAMMA and Cage Warriors lightweight champion will look to get back on track with a win over fellow Brit Pearson.

Sunderland born Person will also enter this contest looking to stop a 2-fight slide that has seen the Alliance MMA trained fighter suffer unanimous decision losses to former Bellator lightweight champions Will Brooks and most recently Jorge Masvidal at UFC 201.
