Fabricio Werdum, Kelvin Gastelum, Henry Briones and Guido Cannetti all received $50,000 performance bonuses last night at UFC 180, which took place at Mexico City Arena.

After a rocky start in the opening round new UFC interim heavyweight champion Werdum (19-5-1) needed only 2:27 of round 2 to TKO fan favorite Mark Hunt (10-9) to earn a performance bonus and set up a unification bout with Cain Velasquez (13-1).

In the co-main event TUF season 17 winner Kelvin Gastelum (10-0) earned his bonus after scoring the biggest win of his mixed martial arts career when he submitted (via rear naked choke) Jake Ellenberger (29-9) in 4:46 of Round 1.

Henry Briones (16-4) and Guido Cannetti (6-2) whose fight was the second fight on the preliminary card received $50,000 after treating fans to almost 7 minutes of excitement. Cannetti would have the better of things standing, but the when the fight hit the canvas early in the second round his opponent would be able to lock-on a rear-naked choke for the finish.
