Conor McGregor set up a rubber match for the ages as he scored a majority decision win over Stockton bad boy Nate Diaz in the main event of UFC 202 which went down at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The brash Irishman dominated the opening two rounds, reddening his opponents thighs with leg kicks while bloodying up the 30-year olds face with some crisp striking. But the tide would seemingly begin to turn midway through the 3rd as Diaz would begin to rally back, using volume punching to leave McGregor in serious trouble as the round came to a close.

But after making some adjustments in round 4 McGregor would somehow survive the last 10 minutes which included a takedown in the closing seconds of round 5 to earn a majority decision win to even the series and set up a possible rubber match in the future.

Rumble sends message after super quick win

Anthony “Rumble” Johnson cemented his status as the number one contender to Daniel Cormier’s UFC light heavyweight title with a 13 seconds KO win over  Glover Teixeira in the co-main event.

As long is the fight lasted Rumble’s opponent would look to press the action trying to keep the blackzilian trained fighter on the back foot.  But with only a few seconds gone on the clock Johnson would land a devastating uppercut to knockout his opponent cold to end to this short lived affair.

During the post fight interview Johnson would set up a likely second crack at light heavyweight gold by respectfully calling out Cormier to the approval of the champion.
