UFC Belfast Elmose vs. Cooper poster.

The UFC Belfast card is starting to take shape, with the addition of a Women’s Strawweight bout to the November 19 card at the SSE Arena.

The headline for the bout will be Straight Blast Gym‘s Gunnar Nelson (15-2-1) taking on the “Stun Gun” of South Korea, Dong Hyun Kim (21-3-1).

Announced today, Denmark’s Anna Elmose will drop down to the 115lb division to face American, Amanda Cooper.

After making her UFC debut in the Bantamweight division, Elmose (3-1) has made the decision to drop down in weight. The Copenhagen fighter was at a clear size disadvantage when she fought Germaine de Randamie at UFC Rotterdam. The Netherlands’ de Randamie put an immense amount of pressure on Elmose, getting the stoppage inside of the first round.

Elmose will now travel to the Northern Irish capital to meet The Ultimate Fighter 23 finalist Cooper (2-2).

Fighting out of Michigan, USA, Cooper was a rather impressive entity during the 23rd season of the UFC’s premier reality series. She bested Jamie Moyle and submitted the UK’s Lanchana Green en-route to the Las Vegas finals.

Despite losing to Tatiana Suarez in the finals, the UFC opted to sign Cooper, as submission specialist “ABC” aims to make herself a force to be reckoned with in the 115lb division.

Tickets for UFC Belfast start from £45 and go on general sale 10:00 GMT Friday, September 23 via Ticketmaster. There will be a pre-sale for UFC Fight Club members (Sept 21) and UFC newsletter subscribers (Sept 22).
