UFC debutant Damian Stasiak is raring to go before his UFC Fight Night: Krakow clash with Yoatzin Meza on Saturday.

With a submission game to rival the best in Europe, the 8-2 featherweight, 25, says he cannot wait to finally step into the Octagon.

“The UFC is the biggest MMA organisation in the world so I’m very excited. Meza is a complete fighter with a great ground game but I have good BJJ and wrestling.”

The Pole turned caused a stir among the UKMMA community by submitting the highly touted Mike Grundy at BAMMA 19, Grundy being a world class grappler and Commonwealth Games wrestling medalist who had bulldozed through all previous opponents. Furthermore, Stasiak (8-2) turned plenty of heads when dropping a decision to 10-1 Russian Magomed Magomedov at M1 Challenge in 2013.

On the other hand, the more experienced Meza (20-9), who counts Benson Henderson as an MMA Lab team-mate, boasts excellent jiu-jitsu with a 1-2 (1NC) record in the UFC.

Take a look at what Stasiak said below.
