Rising British sensation Tom Breese credits his ‘growing confidence’ ahead of the Keita Nakamura match-up at UFC London.

Breese and Nakamura feature on the UFC Fight Night 84 main card, which takes places at the O2 Arena on Saturday, Feb. 27.

“My confidence is growing every fight,” said Breese. “I felt even in Dublin I was happier than I was in Brazil so every fight I’m getting more confident, I’m getting more dangerous.”

The Tristar fighter also described Japan’s Nakamura as a step up from Cathal Pendred – whom Breese dispatched in emphatic fashion back in October in front of a hostile Irish crowd. With both Nakamura and Breese previous winners of the UFC $50,000 Performance Bonus, the Brum fighter believes him and his Japanese counterpart will have a ‘great fight’.

“As I said, it’s more of a stylistic change. He’s got high grappling experience, he’s got more boxing skills. Cathal Pendred is more of a clinch fighter, very tough, durable. It’s a different style more than anything.

“I’m well rounded so  I’ll fight anywhere and he’s extremely well rounded, ADCC semi-finalist 2008, so it’s going to be a great fight. We’re both coming off $50,000 bonuses so it’s going to be a great fight.”
