In the lead up to his bout at UFC Fight Night: Krakow this weekend, Welterweight Seth Baczynski says he’s anticipating a tough contest against his opponent Leon Edwards.

Baczynski (19-12) believes there are no easy fights in the UFC, and he says Edwards (8-2) is no exception.

“I’m expecting a tough match-up. There’s no easy match-ups in the UFC. Top to bottom, the roster is loaded. MMA is evolving and I’ve been evolving with it. That being said, I still plan on winning,” he said.

‘The Polish Pistola’ is also relieved now that he can focus all his attentions on MMA, after his income from the sport finally allowed him to quit his day job as a pump technician.

“I finally was making enough money to where I felt like it was safe to quit my job. I never wanted to quit my job before I could at least provide the same kind of lifestyle for my kids. I didn’t want them to suffer ‘cause of me chasing my dreams, and finally I hit it so, I get to do what I love every day. I get to wake up and train,” he said.

Although he says it was tough having to work, as well as train, he says that overall, he learned and benefitted from the experience.

“10 years. I was getting up and working out, and then going to work. And I had to work harder than everybody at work because they thought I wasn’t taking my job serious. And I had to work harder than everybody at the gym because they had more time than me. So I was really burning it at both ends, but it was a great growing experience. I learned a lot about myself and it really made me enjoy what I’m doing now even more.”

The Polish-American will be looking for an improvement on his recent showings, after picking up just one win in his last five appearances.

His opponent Edwards will also be looking to bounce back after suffering defeat in his previous contest, a split-decision loss to Claudio Henrique da Silva.
