It has emerged this morning that top European bantamweight Brett Johns (12-0) has made the jump to the UFC and will make his debut at the promotions return to Belfast later this month.
The announcement of Johns signing was made via the UFC’s twitter account and will see the Welshman who won 2 world titles while competing under the Cage Warriors and Titan FC umbrellas and news of this move will now see the Chris Rees Academy trained fighter look to replicate that success inside the octagon.
Standing across the Octagon from the 24-year old, will be fellow undefeated bantamweight Kwan Ho Kwak (9-0) who will also be making his promotional debut when the two square off against each other at the SSE Arena.
Like Johns, the South Korean fighter who trains out of Korean Top Team has made an impressive start to his career scoring KO/TKO wins in 6 out of his first 9 professional contests against the likes of Han Bin Park, Trevin Jones and most recently Alptekin Ozkilic at the Top FC vs. Kunlun Fight event which took place last May.
UFC Fight Night 99 takes place on Saturday, November 19 2016 at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland and MMA Plus will be on hand to bring you all the latest news.
