The British Association of Mixed Martial Arts have announced a fight that has been years in the making between English UFC veterans Colin ‘Freakshow’ Fletcher and Andre Winner with the two striking specialists set to collide on April 25 at BAMMA 20, taking place at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham.

Recently signed to a long term 8-fight deal, 32-year-old fan favourite Colin Fletcher (11-4) takes his place in what many believe is a dream UKMMA matchup against Andre Winner. The Sunderland based all rounder has experienced some of his most memorable battles in Birmingham against the likes of Mansour Barnaoui, Tim Newman, and Jason Ball. Since losing a back and forth war via submission to current lightweight champion Barnaoui in 2013, Fletcher has posted back-to-back decision wins over Americans Tony Hervey and Michael Brightmon.

“Im so exicited to fight again for BAMMA, I’m feeling better than ever!” Fletcher stated. “I feel appreciated again and I wanna keep finishing top opponents and heavily cement myself as one of the UK’s most entertaining fighters in and out of the cage. Welcome to MY new age and come join the fun!”

33-year-old Andre Winner (19-8) last appeared in the BAMMA cage in 2012 when he lost a split-decision to Rob ‘C4’ Sinclair for the lightweight crown. Since then, Winner has gone 5-1 and most recently defeated SBG Ireland product Artem Lobov via unanimous decision.

“Colin is a good person and fighter,” said Winner, “I’m focused and driven I’m looking forward to the fight. In fact, I can’t wait, I owe Colin one, I’m going to win and it’s going to be a dominant performance. This isn’t just talk, I’m gonna do exactly what I say come April 25th.”
