A number of weight cutting issues has forced a number of changes to next months BAMMA 24 Ireland vs England fight card.
The first changed to the card Dylan ‘The Nuke’ Tuke (1-0) has decided that it was no longer safe or reasonable to make weight at Bantamweight, and elected to withdraw from his bout with Neil Ward. Tuke now meets Next Gen NI’s Mark Andrew (1-0) who was set to face Patrick Wixted, until an injury forced him to withdraw.
Likewise Sinead Kavanagh (1-0) has decided she will no longer be able to make Bantamweight due to weight cutting issues and has withdrawn from her bout with Kerry ‘Rocksteady’ Hughes. Kerry Hughes will now be matched on a future BAMMA event.
Kavanagh now faces Zarah Fairn Dos Santos (3-1) at BAMMA 24. Dos Santos fights out of Platinum Martial Arts in France. With two of her three wins coming via way of TKO, this bout is likely to be an exciting stand up war.
Neil Ward (1-1) remains on the fight event at Bantamweight and gets a new opponent in the shape of Blaine O’Driscoll (1-0) out of SBG Ireland. With an amateur record of 7-3 including wins over Gavin Kelly, Arnauld Dos Santos & Adam Caffrey, O’Driscoll will be looking to make a big impact in the 3Arena on his BAMMA debut.
