The British Association of Mixed Martial Arts have today announced that Stuart Austin, Mike Grundy and Nathaniel Wood have each signed fresh multi-fight deals with the leading British promotion.

As BAMMA look to reform their heavyweight ranks, 25-year-old Stuart Austin (8-1) joins as a Bellator veteran with seven career wins coming via stoppage. the 6’3″, 235lb judo black belt fights out of Trojan Free Fighters in London, and made a successful Bellator debut last year when taking out Canadian Craig Hudson with a rear-naked-choke in the opening round. Most recently, Austin suffered the first defeated of his career via knockout in the third round when he took on the USA’s Dan Charles at Bellator 126 last September.

Austin stated; “I am very happy to sign with BAMMA as they are one of the biggest shows in Europe and a great promotion to show my skills. Also, I’m proud to be fighting back on UK soil once again.”

Highly rated featherweight contender Mike Grundy (2-0) has inked a fresh deal following a promising start to his professional career. With two fights in BAMMA thus far, the Commonwealth Games Wrestling bronze medalist effortlessly dispatched of Ant Philips in his pro debut last September, and the Team Kaobon wrestling coach most recently took out Michael Cutting on Dec.6, both via submission in the opening round.

“I have really enjoyed my professional career so far with BAMMA,” said Grundy. “I have been well looked after and impressed with the events as a whole, so I have signed with BAMMA to move my career forward and test myself in their exciting 145lb division, and I’m looking forward to a big 2015 with Europe’s best promotion.”

Nathaniel ‘The Prospect’ Wood (6-1) returns to BAMMA’s bantamweight division on a two-fight win streak. Wood was last in action at Cage Warriors 74 in November where a kick broke the arm of experienced opponent Steve McCombe resulting in a TKO stoppage. With five knockouts and one submission to his name, Wood’s sole career loss came at the hands of Superior Challenge champion Ed Arthur who outlasted Wood to snatch victory in the final round with a rear-naked-choke submission.
