BAMMA announced on their official Instagram page that Dayman Lake (7-4) has signed a deal with the promotion.
The signing of “Godzilla” (expected to be a multi-fight contract) comes as no surprise, with BAMMA continually looking to bulk up their heavyweight division; especially with their inaugural champion set to be crowned at June 13, at BAMMA 21 in Birmingham as Mark “The Hand of” Godbeer faces Paul “The Titan” Taylor.
Lake, a heavyweight, has fought all over the UK, for promotions: Cage Warriors Fighting Championship, UCMMA, Made 4 The Cage and others.
His most recent victory comes over Martin Kemp at UCMMA 43 on May 2, where he won by arm triangle choke.
The Chatham, Kent based fighter is ranked as the #7 heavyweight in the UK by Fight Matrix and the #9 by Tapology.
An opponent for his debut; expect to be June 13 at BAMMA 21 in Birmingham, will be announced shortly according to BAMMA officials.
