It looks like undefeated prospect Dominique Wooding wish has been granted as it has today been confirmed that he will face Andy Young for the interim flyweight title at BAMMA 28 which takes place SSE Arena in Belfast, Ireland.

Wooding (3-0) was originally set to face SBG Charlestown fighter Ryan Curtis at BAMMA 28 but despite signing a bout agreement to face the Irishman the fight did not materialise, much to the Londoners annoyance.

The flyweight who trains out of Team Titan would proceed to take to twitter and call for a fight with Young (10-8) who recently claimed his first world title when he knocked out Ukrainian Alexander Barabash in Kiev.

Well according to sources close to the situation 20-year old Wooding has signed a bout agreement to face Andy Young in front of Irish fans at the SSE Arena and the hometown boy who trains out of Next Generation Northern Ireland has duly obliged.

Speaking exclusively to MMA Plus, “The Blank Panther” – who has finished all three of his pro fights by KO/TKO – explained why Young is the perfect foe.

“I wanted Andy Young and now I’ve got him because he’s one of top flyweights in the UK, Europe and he is coming off a good win his last. I have no ill feelings towards him its just business and I want to fight the best BAMMA have to offer.”

BAMMA 28 takes on Friday February 24 2017 in Belfast and will form part of the promotions second collaboration with Bellator MMA.
