Following his featherweight gold medal campaign at the IMMAF World Championships of Amateur MMA in July, SBG Ireland product Frans Mlambo will complete his transition to professional MMA on Sept. 19 when he takes on fellow Irishman and pro veteran Darren O’Gorman (3-0), a product of Trials MMA in Cork.
Fergus O’Farrell of TalkingBrawlsMMA.com highlighted the bout with Stephen Lowry on a recent podcast episode.
Mlambo won the IMMAF world championship in Las Vegas this year with four consecutive victories through the four-day tournament. In contrast, O’Gorman is already a 3-0 pro veteran with successive submission wins.
BAMMA 22 takes place in Mlambo’s home town of Dublin at the 3 Arena.
