The results of an MRI scan has today led to the withdrawal of undefeated prospect Josh “Power” Plant from his BAMMA 29 showdown with Daniel “Pork Chop” Casswell this weekend.

Plant (1-0) made the unfortunate announcement via his Facebook page earlier today.

In his post, the Impact Combat & Fitness trained athlete stated that during the scan “a bilateral bleed on the brain” was detected and as a result, he was not being cleared to fight by regulatory body SafeMMA.

According to medical research, a bilateral bleed is an “untreated high blood pressure which is a major preventable cause of brain hemorrhages. Aneurysm . This is a weakening in a blood vessel wall that swells. It can burst and bleed into the brain, leading to a stroke.”
