November 5th, 2014 – Leaders in Mixed Martial Arts sports entertainment, BAMMA, are proud to announce Mike Wootten’s return to the promotion, to take on the undefeated Peter Ligier in a Bantamweight bout at BAMMA 17 at the Victoria Warehouse, Manchester on Saturday 6th December.
Mike Wootten has remained undefeated through his professional career to hold a record of 8-0. The Liverpudlian defeated Frenchman Antoine Gallinaro on his debut at BAMMA 16. Holding a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and with a background in Japanese Jiu Jitsu, Wootten fights out of the MMA Academy in Liverpool.
“I’m Looking forward to fighting on BAMMA again against Ligier, I enjoyed my first outing on the promotion and look forward to showcasing my skills again on BAMMA.”
Peter Ligier brings with him a 4-0 record. Based out of the Fight Move Academy in France, he is a well rounded MMA fighter with a wrestling base. Ligier has competed in several grappling competitions outside of his MMA career.
On Facing Mike Wootten at BAMMA 17, he had the following to say:
“For me it’s a good opportunity to show what I am able to do in a big European Organization against someone like Mike, is a young talented fighter undefeated.
He’s fighting in his own town, in front of his fans. He have more experience, than me but I have “nothing to lose” I just want to be among the top of my division, put on a great show and then why not continue with BAMMA to take that belt.”
