On Friday, Norman Parke missed the 155lb weight limit by 0.8 pounds, putting the BAMMA lightweight title fight against Paul Redmond in jeopardy.

Ahead of BAMMA 28, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, it has been confirmed by BAMMA press officer Matt Bourne, that the fight remains on, but only Redmond can win the title, seeing as he made weight.

Parke now loses the chance to collect the BAMMA lightweight title in front of his home fans in Belfast tonight.

The rest of the card goes ahead as expected with the exception of Jai Herbert vs. Steve Owens after Owens fell ill. Herbert made weight at 156lbs.

The card begins at 5pm GMT on the Lonsdale and UNILAD Facebook pages live from the SSE Arena in Belfast. The Bellator 173 main card will be broadcast ‘as live’ on Spike UK from 10pm.
