A heavyweight contest of Paul Taylor vs Callum Cook has been added to the preliminary card of BAMMA 18 on February 21.

With experience up and down the UK fighting for promotions such as UCMMA, UWC and ‘Made 4 The Cage’, Birmingham’s Paul Taylor (8-3) is set to make his BAMMA debut and brings with him a current run of four consecutive victories all via TKO in the opening round. Taylor most recently finished Rab Truesdale at UCMMA 41 on November 8.

Representing Sunderland’s Team Fish Tank, Callum ‘Ready Steady’ Cook (5-1) is also set for a debut performance in the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts and, like Taylor, has an appetite for first round stoppages with each of his career victories coming in the opening round.

“Paul is a well-respected heavyweight and has fought some of the best in the UK,” said Cook. “It will be great to step in the cage for the UK’s biggest show BAMMA! It’s a massive step up for me to fight Paul, and being the underdog just makes me more determined.”

Taylor stated: “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog.”

BAMMA 18 takes place on Feb.21 at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall headlined by reigning BAMMA world featherweight champion Tom ‘Fire Kid’ Duquesnoy taking on Poland’s Kryzystof Klaczek.
