The British Association of Mixed Martial arts (BAMMA) have revealed that former BAMMA World Lightweight Champion Rob ‘C4’ Sinclair is due to return to the promotion at BAMMA 21.

Sinclair (12-3) was last in action with BAMMA in 2012 with a unanimous decision victory over UFC veteran Andre Winner, who recently out-fought standout Colin Fletcher with a unanimous decision win at BAMMA 20. Sinclair went on to battle a near career ending leg injury that kept him out of action until his Bellator debut earlier this year on April 10. Sinclair lost a unanimous decision to Saad Awad at Bellator 136.

It’s worth speculating that Sinclair’s return could be part of a deal to help build BAMMA’s standing after the promotion sealed a deal with television network Spike TV. Spike are owned by parent company Viacom who also own Bellator MMA.

Sinclair will face American Michael ‘The Beast’ Brightmon (13-6). The Gorilla House and Team Absolutu product made his first UKMMA appearance at BAMMA 17 where he was thoroughly picked apart by Colin Fletcher before a corner stoppage at the end of the second round. Brightmon has since fought in Bulgaria where he lost a unanimous decision to unbeaten Bulgarian Valentin Benishev.

BAMMA 21 takes place at the Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham on June 13.
