Warrior Fight Series (WFS) has confirmed the main event for their sixth event, taking place at York Hall, London on Saturday, May 21 2016. Jake Bostwick and Junior Magal will battle it out for the vacant WFS World Welterweight title. Also confirmed is Daniel Crawford vs. Kams Ekpo, who will be fighting for the WFS World Featherweight belt.

Junior Magal (10-5 -1NC) will be making the trip from Brazil to the East end of London for his first fight outside of Brazil. Having won six of his fights by submitting his opponent, Magal will no doubt be hoping to return home with the belt. Standing in his way is Jake Bostwick (17-8-1NC), fresh from a two month fight camp at American Top Team, Florida. Bostwick is on a ten fight win streak and will be looking to add some gold to his trophy cabinet.

Bostwick comments: “My fight camp was amazing, and I’m back home, continuing my training in London in the run up to the fight. I’ve been training with some of the best MMA athletes in the world, focussing a lot on my wrestling in particular. I’ve never been more confident and ready to step up to fight. I know Magal will be coming over here for the belt, but unfortunately for him, he’s going to have a wasted journey.”

Daniel Crawford (6-1) will be defending his featherweight belt for the first time at WFS 6. He ended last year with a loss at Phoenix Fight Night, but will be looking to get back into the win column to keep hold of his belt. Challenging him will be Kams Ekpo (3-0) – undefeated as both a professional and amateur fighter.

An amateur belt will be on the line as Reese Kenny (4-1) and Gregor Jurcic (4-1) go head to head for the vacant Amateur Bantamweight title. Jurcic will be vacating his WFS Amateur Lightweight belt in order to drop down and take on Kenny at bantamweight.

Promoter, Harry Shoebridge, commented: “I promised you three professional title fights – and here’s two of them confirmed, with an amateur championship belt on the line too for good measure! It’s going to be an explosive night of action, and this is just the beginning. We have another title fight to announce, plus lots more professional and amateur MMA. This is a great time for MMA in the United Kingdom, and I’m proud to be playing a part in that and matching up some exciting fights.”
