After a long layoff from the cage, undefeated MMA prospect Jay “The Prodigy” Dods (5-0) will make his return against veteran UK fighter Jefferson “Shadow Demon Blaximus” George (7-6) in the co-main event of WFS 7 for the vacant Lightweight title.

After more than a year on the sidelined Dods made his return to combat sports last July under K-1 kickboxing rules when he competed for upstart promotion Ronin.

Previously “The Prodigy” had received an offer to face Rick Selvarajah at BAMMA 25 before he sustained an injury which nixed the bout. It was later rumoured that he would face former Lonsdale Lightweight contender Jai Herbert but that fight failed to materialised.

Fighting out of Prizefighters AldershotNFM and Nova Forca the fighter who began competing at the tender age of 16-year old will look to take out veteran George and claim the vacant WFS Lightweight title.

Former WFS Lightweight champion Jefferson George enters the bout looking to extend the unbeaten run which saw him rebound from a unanimous decision loss to Brad Wheeler in a bout that saw him lose his WFS title.

Since that setback “Shadow Demon Blaximus” has gone on to defeat Kimbo Tinghaugen at Contenders Norwich 15 last June. Now George who has been involved in some great battles on top European promotions including BAMMA, KSW and Shock N’ Awe will look to claim the title for the second time when faces off against Dods.

Who will be crowned the new WFS Lightweight champion?

Warrior Fight Series returns to action for their seventh instalment on March 25, 2017 at the world famous York Hall in London, England.
