With only 24-hours to go before the encounter to see who will be crowned the King of Manchester, Eden Newton sent a chilling warning to his opponent Brendan Loughnane, claiming ‘His never experienced the pressure I’m going to put on him’.

The two Manchester based Lightweights will clash at Tanko Fighting Championships 1 at the Victoria Warehouse on Saturday, August 13.

Both Loughnane and Newton were involved in a scuffle at the weigh-ins, where the two men had to be restrained by security.

Speaking moments after, Cyprus MMA’s Newton commented: “I’ve been playing Brendan from the start. I let him know it was all a joke at the start but now its serious, now its no joke. I’ve trained very very hard and I’ve left my family for 5-weeks and I missed my sons birthday because I’m taking this fight seriously”.
