Announced by Tanko Management, Brendan Loughnane will return to the cage at Victoria Warehouse, Manchester on August 13 to face Eden Newton in a Lightweight match-up.

Loughnane (11-2), who trains out of All Powers in Stockport hasn’t fought since March, where he scored a knockout over David Lee at Full Contact Contender 15; a promotion based in Greater Manchester.

Newton (9-4) trains out of Cyrus MMA and his appearance at Victoria Warehouse will be his first since May.

The fight takes place in one of Manchester’s most vibrant hotspots, a fitting venue for the bout which is a being billed as a Manchester grudge match. Both the Loughnane and Newton’s camps have been in talk for some time trying to secure the fight. There has been bombastic exchanges between the two on social media in recent months and on August 13, their feud will finally culminate.

Not much information has been divulged by Tanko Management about the Aug. 13 event, but further details and ticket information are t be announced over the coming weeks.

Commenting on the Manchester grudge match, Brendan Loughnane, said: “I’m confident I can end him quickly in the octagon and know I can put on a great show for the home fans. He is just a small hurdle on my way to bigger opponents. I hope Eden and the fans get the fight they desperately want to see. This fight has been almost 10 years in the making.”
