Macto Championships have announced an amateur K-1 rules bout set for their debut show in Milton Keynes on June 27. The contest will feature amateur MMA standout Josh McManus (pictured) returning to his kickboxing roots after claiming a silver medal at last years’ IMMAF World Championships of Amateur MMA. McManus will be taking on Muay Thai practitioner Bradley Marshall.

May 28th.15: MACTO Championships, the UK’s hottest new MMA promotion, are proud to announce the amateur K-1 contest of Bradley Marshall vs. Josh McManus, set for MACTO Championships’ inaugural event on June 27 at the Arena: MK in Milton Keynes.

Fighting out of Leicester’s 1st Legion Fighters Gym, 20-year-old Josh McManus is an experienced amateur MMA veteran now making his return to standup competition. Despite being brought up in the world of Muay Thai, McManus boasts an extensive 12-7 record as an amateur MMA welterweight and achieved international success with a silver medal at the 2014 IMMAF World Championships of Amateur MMA in Las Vegas, USA. As a Muay Thai fighter he brings a 1-0 record and is 1-1 under K-1 rules. McManus has trained at various renowned gyms including Paul Daley’s Spirit Dojo and Chokchai Muay Thai Camp in Phuket, Thailand.

In contrast, Bradley Marshall is a 19-year-old Bedford native representing Northampton’s Nak Soo Muay Thai team. As the proud owner of a favourable left hook, Marshall boasts a 32 second knockout victory among the 8-2 Muay Thai record that he brings to MACTO.

MACTO Championships’ debut showcase will be headlined by British UFC veteran Nick Osipczak making his eagerly anticipated return to MMA competition, and fearsome knockout artists Alex Montagnani and David Round will collide in the co-main event.
