Paddy Pimblett (7-1) is scheduled to take on Kevin Petshi (7-0) at Full Contact Contender 12 in Bolton on March 28, but Paddy is already looking past the Frenchman, towards a much bigger fight with an ex-UFC North East fighter.

Andy “The Little Axe” Ogle (9-6) was recently released by the UFC on the back of five defeats, most recently an eight second TKO to Makwan Amirkhani at UFC Stockholm this past January.

Not one to shy away from controversy, “The Baddy” called out the fighter from Newcastle upon Tyne on the MMA PLUS podcast, and threw down the challenge for a fight in the near future.

Paddy told us,“he [Andy Ogle] would get leathered.” He added “I was talking before about this, Ogle, someone said in the gym, and I just turned and looked as if to say ‘can we ask for that fight?’ I would take that fight tomorrow, within a heart beat I would take that fight, and I’d just prove to everyone how good I am, because people just don’t realise yet how good I am.”

Pimblett admitted his fight in FCC didn’t fall under his one fight exemption from his Cage Warriors contract, so a fight with Ogle is surely a possibility if it interests FCC, and why wouldn’t it!

The two featherweights would continue to trade verbal shots before an unexpected entrant would enter the fray…. Artem Lobov (11-10-1-1). The SBG Ireland fighter, who in January this year was embroiled in his own war of words with Cage Warriors welterweight Tommy Quinn (6-1), would come to the aid of Ogle by attempting to scold Pimblett.

Assuming that Pimblett comes through his fight with undefeated Frenchman Kevin Petshi at FCC 12 unscaved, a mouth-watering clash between the Next Generation Liverpool fighter and Ogle, or possibly even a fight with Lobov could be on the horizon.
