A bout between the UK’s number 1 ranked Heavyweight Philip De Fries (11-4-1) and Thomas Denham (7-6) has been added to next months “Made4TheCage 16 Invasion” card.
BJJ practitioner De Fries will compete for the second time under the Made4TheCage umbrella after scoring a 1st round rear naked choke submission win over Poland’s Lakasz Parobiec at Made4TheCage 15 last November. The 28-year old will be looking to secure his second win on the bounce after he was on the wrong end of decision loss to former Olympic judo champion Satoshi Ishii.
Former light heavyweight Denham was originally scheduled to face De Fries teammate John Marshall before an injury forced a change to the his previously scheduled bout. The Hardlife MMA trained fighter will compete in his new weight class for the second time after defeating highly touted Atherton submission wrestling standout Adam Parkes on his heavyweight debut at ICE FC 4 last November.
Made4TheCage 16 Invasion takes place on February 28th, live from the Rainton Meadows Arena in Middleborough and features a main event heavyweight European heavyweight champion James Mulheron (7-0) who faces tough German Ruben Wolf (9-6).
