The WSOF lightweight title bout between Justin Gaethje and and Melvin Guillard will now be a non-title bout after Guillard failed to make the 155lbs weight limit.
Guillard tipped the scales at 3.8lbs over the weight limit at 158.8lbs on his first attempt and when he retuned to the scales the 31-year old American weighed in at 158.6 and decided not to try and cut any more weight.
This is the second time in a row that the American Top Team trained fighter has missed weight with the young assassin weighing 157lbs when he defeated Gesias Cavalcante at WSOF 11 in July. As a result of Guillard missing weight for a second time in a row he has been forced to give 50per cent of his purse.
WSOF 15 takes place at the USF Sun Dome, Tampa, Florida on Saturday, November 15th.
