Today, the legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr will return to the ring for one final time against Irishman, the current UFC lightweight champion, Conor McGregor in Las Vegas at T-Mobile Arena.

Trying to predict the possibilities for Saturday, MMA Plus invited four professionals to make their analysis and predictions for this anticipated boxing match up.

Luiz Dórea, the boxing coach of legendary MMA fighter, Anderson Silva, as well as Junior dos Santos and Lyoto Machida, credits McGregor’s legacy but, are still confident Mayweather can win.

“Conor have chances to deliver his power punch at two first rounds on this matchup. But Floyd is a legend of this sport and knows everything about range and defense skills. One of the best in all the boxing world. McGregor can make problems for Floyd in the first two rounds but I believe Floyd can be finished in later rounds after Conor is tired,” said Dórea.

Aside to Dórea, two respected members of the Brazilian fighting community, Diego Lima (striking coach of legendary gym Chute Boxe in São Paulo) and former K-1/GLORY fighter and current Corinthians MMA team head coach, Ewerton Teixeira do not give much chance to the Irishman in this fight.

“I think it’s very difficult for Conor. Maybe impossible. But it’s boxing business. Who knows what will happen,” Teixeira says.

“To me it’s 95% to Floyd. It’s Mayweather’s world. But I think the fight is going to the later rounds because we all know, Floyd gets more money if the fight goes the distance,” predicts Lima.

For the representant of Brazilian Boxing League, called Liga de Boxe, Reinaldo Carrera did not give any chance to “The Notorious.”

“Mayweather knows all things about skills and strategy to face that challenge. Conor does not have any experience in professional boxing match before and facing one of the best fighters of all time. I’ll be very surprised if the result isn’t a told domination of twelve rounds or KO/TKO finish in favor of Floyd,” ended Carrera.

MMA Plus’ Andreas Georgiou and Roberto Reid will be at a live viewing party at Grosvenor Casino in Russell Square, London. Make sure to keep locked to the MMA Plus Facebook and YouTube channels for live content.
