GLORY has announced a global partnership with Fairtex, a world renowned equipment manufacturer specializing in Muay Thai, kickboxing and MMA, who will now be the promotion’s official glove provider.

The multi-year partnership with the promotion’s new glove provider will begin next month at GLORY 50 on February 16. Hayabusa and Leone previously served as glove providers for the kickboxing promotion.

“Two of the most well-known brands in combat sports are joining forces, but this announcement represents much more than that,” said GLORY Chief Development Officer Jon J Franklin, in a press release on Wednesday. “We strive as an organization to put on the biggest and best fights possible, with our world-class athletes setting an incredible standard for excellence. With Fairtex as a partner supporting that endeavor, the fighters can perform with confidence that their equipment is held to the same standard of excellence.”

As part of the partnership with GLORY, Fairtex will have a presence on GLORY’s broadcast and digital platforms, as well as logo placement on marketing materials and at live events.

“As companies, both GLORY and Fairtex have been unceasingly committed to pursuing the passion of combat sports, “said Fairtex Chairman and Founder Philip Wong. “We’ve long felt that Fairtex should be part of the best kickboxing events worldwide, so I’m honored to finally be working with GLORY to make that a reality.”

To create the glove for GLORY, which Wong called “the greatest Fairtex product ever made,” the padding was reshaped for a lighter overall feel, and the thumb stitching was removed to maximize safety. The result, according to the release: “A seamless piece of leather expertly joined to the glove wrist with flat stitching that denotes the glove’s unparalleled craftsmanship.”

GLORY and Fairtex will also be working together to create co-branded equipment for retail sale.
