18 March 2014 – Portsmouth, England: Shock N Awe have today announced a change to their main event which was due to take place on the promotions 16th show which takes place on March 29th 2014 at the Mountbatten Centre, in Portsmouth, England.
Gym 01’s fight Matt “Short Fuse” Hughes has been removed from the main event of Shock N Awe 16 due to an injury sustained by his opponent in the lead up to the fight. Hughes was due to compete for the vacant Shock N Awe lightweight title, but will face Artem Katov of Exile MMA in a catchweight encounter.
The bout between Phil Else and Callum Johns which was previously the co-main event has now been bumped up to the main event and will see the two fighters compete for the vacant Shock N Awe featherweight title.
