January 13th.14: Battle Arena – one of the UK’s leading amateur mixed martial arts promotions, is proud to announce Battle Arena: Oxford, taking place on Saturday, March 29 at the Kassam Stadium.
Over 20 fights are currently in the works for an exciting international card, with a monstrous Regional Heavyweight Championship bout of Christian Gogoric vs Same Hill having been confirmed.
Fighting out of Warriors Banbury, Gogoric demonstrated a powerful right hand in his Battle Arena debut when the giant Polish heavyweight produced a memorable knockout finish against Joey Dakin, at Battle Arena: Northampton on November 23, 2013.
In contrast, Next Level’s Sam ‘The Viking’ Hill claimed a swift debut victory of his own with an arm-bar submission over Jake Smith early last year. Undefeated with two first round victories in Battle Arena, Hill was last in action back in February, 2013 where he defeated Jay Oliver via TKO in an exciting contest.
Sam Hill said: “I expect a good fight, he’s a power puncher so that will make it interesting. I like competing on Battle Arena because they treat you good and it’s a great show.”
Battle Arena CEO James Price said: “Gogoric vs Hill is the ultimate clash of the titans! Both fighters have seriously heavy hands and you have to think that someone is going to get knocked out.”
