Superkombat Fighting Championship have announced the final card for World Grand Prix Final Elimination event in Geneva, Switzerland, on October 25. UK kickboxer Jamie Bates is set to take on Yoann Kongolo at -81kg, and Micky Terrill will compete in the -86kg World Grand Prix.
The UK’s Jamie Bates returns to Superkombat for his toughest test to-date, as he takes on Geneva’s kickboxing sensation Yoann Kongolo, who is making his promotional debut.
Micky Terrill makes his return to Superkombat as a competitor in the Light-Heavyweight tournament as he faces off against Clyde Brunswijk (25–4–1) from Suriname who is the Superkombat New Heroes champion. The winners from “Road to Monza” will advance to the final tournament November 22nd in Monza, Italy to crown a new champion.
The former Cruiserweight champion Bogdan Stoica (14–4–0) has been seeded first, but faces a tough test in France’s Aristote Quitusisa. Second seeded Jorge Loren (73–13–4) meets Swiss fighter Beni Osmanoski. In the final quarter final Dawid Kasperski (13–3–1) faces rising Moroccan star Ibrahim El Bouni.
Tthe Super Cruiserwieght title is on the line in the main event, as Romanian hero Andrei Stoica (33–6–0) defends against “The Monster” of Spain, Moises Baute (12–3–0), who demolished both Cristian Ristea and Michael Terrill in the contender tournament.
