WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT YOU OPPONENT?
Nothing really, I know he’s from TITAN and he might be a wrestler that’s about it. I’m not really bothered I’m just going to get in there and do my job really. I’m not a guy that goes and watches and studies my opponent and what he does. I just train myself all around and make sure I’m equipped and prepared. Striking, grappling, wrestling, I make sure my game is on point.
TELL US WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT FURY MMA?
I find FURY to be very open and free. For example, some shows don’t allow you to wear wraps under your gloves and things like that. At FURY you can play your own music, get into your vibe, its nice and organised well, everybody is friendly. I love the outside venue that they have in the summer. It’s the only MMA show that’s doing this. Now they are doing it at the O2 and when I’m telling people this they are getting exciting and because of this I have doubled my ticket sales this time. People are getting excited because it’s now at the O2. But I still like the outdoor venue, the music, the BBQ and jerk chicken was wicked. The atmosphere was nice, the sun coming in and stuff.
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT TO SEE ON THIS FIGHT??
FIREWORKS!! (laughs) Good stand up, if he manages to take me down by luck you’ll see me getting back up quickly. If he wants to grapple we can grapple but I’d rather stand up. A lot of fights have gone to the floor and I’ve finished it but this time I want to stand and finish it. I’d like to show some of the new skills I’ve got.
ANY WORDS FOR YOUR OPPONENT?
Alex, I hope that your camp went really well and that you’re ready because it’s not going to be an easy fight.
WHATS YOUR PLANS AFTER FURY 10?
I hope to be fighting for the middleweight belt. Keep improving and hopefully turn pro.
