Speculation has run amok over the return of Giorgio Petrosyan to GLORY Kickboxing, however it looks set that the former pound-for-pound king will make his homecoming this November in his native Italy.

Although there has been no official correspondence from GLORY on the situation, after Petrosyan’s recent knockout win against Xu Yan in China, his Italian management team; Fight 1 confirmed over Facebook that their fighter will make his GLORY return on November, 6 at GLORY 25, which is set to take place in Monza, Italy.

An opponent has yet to be named for Petrosyan, but many anticipate the long awaited rematch against Andy Ristie, who became the first fighter to ever knock the Italian out under kickboxing rules back at GLORY 12: New York in 2013.

‘The Doctor’ has now competed three times in 2015, which included two decision wins over win over Erkan Varol and Enriko Kehl.

Fight 1 also noted that ten other Italian kickboxers will be compete on the GLORY 25 event.

GLORY already have their next two events pencilled in, with their co-promotion of Bellator MMA: DYNAMITE 1 and GLORY 24: Denver, which will be headlined by the Artem Levin vs.  Joe Schilling rubber match.

Stay tuned for more updates on GLORY 25: Italy in the coming weeks.
