GLORY 23 SUPERFIGHT SERIES takes place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada and is headlined by a Heavyweight eliminator between Anderson Silva and Jamal Ben Saddik.

Brazilian Anderson ‘Braddock’ Silva was originally scheduled for a title eliminator against Benjamin Adegbuyi at GLORY 21: San Diego in May. However with the Romanian being moved to GLORY 22: Lille and a title shot against Rico Verhoeven, Silva was again out of contention.
‘Braddock’ is 4-4 in the promotion, losing to Errol Zimmerman last time out at GLORY 16: Denver, but has the ability to make it a very tough fight for Jamal Ben Saddik.
‘Goliath’ returned to GLORY in France with an impressive first round knockout of Mamoudou Keta. Ben Saddik has often been criticised for his inconstancy inside the ring, but a win over Silva may put the 25-year-old in a prime position for a title shot.
Newark, England’s Chad ‘2Slick’ Sugden also returns to GLORY after a technical showcase against Atakan Arslan at GLORY 20: Dubai.
In his time away from the premier kickboxing promotion, Sugden fought Michael Wakeling in an ISKA title bout. It was a close affair, but the Muay Thai veteran Wakeling edged the fight on points.
He faces Murthel Groenhart, undoubtedly his biggest test to date. The 28-year-old Dutch-Surinam is well known in the kickboxing circuit from his K-1 World MAX 2012 World Championship victory where he beat Yasuhiro Kido, Mike Zambidis and Artur Kyshenko.
A win for Sugden would help him break into the GLORY top ten rankings, with Groenhart ranked eighth.
Also on the card, exciting Georgian prospect Giga Chikadze, who returns after his impressive third round knockout of Ken Tran at GLORY 21: San Diego. Chikadze trains out of the renown Kings MMA, the home of UFC champions, Heavyweight Fabrício Werdum and Lightweight Rafael dos Anjos.
