GLORY 24

Injuries continue to spoil GLORY 24, with the scheduled return of Pat “HD” Barry on Oct. 9 postponed due to an elbow injury suffered in training, with no timetable given on his return, according to GLORY.

Barry was scheduled to face Karl Roberson in the GLORY 24 co-headline in Denver, Colorado, at Magness Arena. A new opponent has yet to be announced for Roberson.

This news comes after a similar injury forced Middleweight champion Artem Levin out of a trilogy fight against Joe “Stitch ‘Em Up” Schilling (19-6, 11 KO). Instead, the Californian kickboxer meets  No. 3 ranked Jason “Psycho” Wilnis (24-5-1, 6 KO). The bout will likely determine the number one contender for Levin upon his return to action.

Added to the card in the co-headline slot will be another Middleweight affair, when Colorado local, and GLORY 23 Middleweight Qualification Tournament winner Dustin “The Hanyak” Jacoby (6-5, 5 KO) meets New York’s Wayne Barrett (5-3, 4 KO).

The brackets for the GLORY 24 four-man Heavyweight Contender Tournament were also announced by GLORY, pitting former title contender Benjamin “Mister Gentleman” Adegbuyi (19-3, 14 KOs) against the dominant Mladen “The Scorpion Sting” Brestovac (43-9-1, 28 KO), unbeaten since 2013.

Australian fighter Ben “The Guvner” Edwards (36-10-3, 32 KO) will meet tournament dark horse Jahfarr Wilnis (22-5-1, 5 KO), who has already defeated Hesdy Gerges in 2015.
