Former GLORY welterweight champion Nieky Holzken will not face Yoann Kongolo on GLORY 45: Amsterdam. GLORY announced the Swiss has been replaced with promotional newcomer Alim Nabiyev.

GLORY 45 takes place on September 30 in Sporthallen Zuid, Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The 22-year-old Nabiyev holds victories over Yohan Lidon, Jamie Bates, Chad Sugden and Armen Petrosyan (twice). The Azerbaijani-Russian-Ukrainian has held world titles in WMC, IFMA and W5.

Holzken would face Kongolo in a rematch from their first encounter at GLORY 29: Copenhagen. “The Natural” beat the current No.2 of the GLORY welterweight rankings over five rounds to defend his welterweight strap for the second time.

Holzken’s upcoming fight will be his first non-title bout since GLORY 19: Virginia back in February 2015.

GLORY featherweight champion Robin van Roosmalen fights Serhiy Adamchuk in the main event of GLORY 45. Holzken vs. Nabiyev will serve as the co-headline bout of the main card.
