Murthel Groenhart is open to becoming the next Dutch kickboxer to cross over into MMA after Gökhan Saki, Robin van Roosmalen and Denise Kielholtz.

For now the newly crowned GLORY welterweight champion is focused on kickboxing but would listen to any offer the UFC puts in front of him.

Groenhart first talked about his MMA ambitions with Dutch outlet MMA DNA. “The Predator” said he remains focused on kickboxing, so he hasn’t trained in any other aspects of the fight game to prepare himself properly to change sports.

But should ‘Dana’ come with an offer, the Dutchman tells MMA Plus he would be all ears: “That option is on the corner. If Dana comes with a nice opponent and we can work something out, I will definitely fight in UFC, no problem. Because I like that game and I did it one time and definitely do it again.”

But first, “The Predator” is focused on defending his GLORY welterweight title. Groenhart won the belt in August at GLORY 44 in Chicago when he beat Cédric Doumbé by split-decision.

Groenhart said there’s not anything set in stone yet, but believes a third fight with Harut Grigorian should be next.

“I just fought and beat Doumbé, I don’t wanna talk about him anymore. Harut just won a tournament”, Groenhart says. “I think the guys winning the tournaments is gonna fight the champion. Still have to wait and see what GLORY is gonna say, I don’t know what’s matched up for me next.”
