Michael Duut says he wants to show a better version of himself in the rubber match with Danyo Ilunga than in last year’s fight with the Congolese-German.

Duut, currently ranked third on the GLORY light heavyweight rankings, completes the trilogy with “Dibuba” on Saturday in the co-main event of GLORY Redemption, one year after their slugfest on GLORY: Collision that was voted match of the year 2016.

The Dutchman is confident he’ll put on a better performance than last time, mainly because he’s not dealing with any injuries like last year: “I just have to be myself and let my hands go. We will see. I’m looking forward to it, I’m happy,“ Duut tells MMA Plus.

“I feel very good. In the last time, I fought him, I was injured. I had a very bad back injury, I tore something,” Duut says.

“I couldn’t even fight, but Melvin (Manhoef, Duut’s coach) said: ‘Mike, we’re gonna fight. It’s not a problem.’ I took a very big medication and you saw it. Now, I’m 100%, I’m 150%. This time, I will knock him out.

“(I will be) Better, harder, stronger, faster, everything.”
