After his impressive win at Road to GLORY UK, Jamie Bates is set to headline the GLORY 40 SuperFight Series in Copenhagen, on Saturday, April 29.
The promotion announced via press release that Bates will face Richard Abraham, which will take place at the Forum Copenhagen in Denmark.
GLORY 40 SuperFight Series will serve as the prelims for GLORY 40 Copenhagen, which is headlined by middleweight world champion Jason “Psycho” Wilnis (30-6-1, 8 KO) defending his title against Simon Marcus (45-3-2, 24 KO) in a rubber match.
On March 11, Bates featured in the main event of Road to GLORY UK, an event hosted by Dean Sudgen, the father of former welterweight Chad Sugden. Fellow welterweight Bates (24-6) defeated Kev Ward by unanimous decision to earn a two-fight contract with the GLORY promotion.
He faces No. 6 ranked Abraham (11-4, 4 KO) who is looking bounce back after losing a close, split decision to rising star Antoine Pinto at GLORY 38 Chicago.
Also announced for GLORY 40 SuperFight Series, Danish lightweight Mohammed El-Mir (113-22, 33 KO) will face Norwegian Muay Thai champion Simon Santana (37-12-1, 12 KO) in the co-main event.
Finally, New York native Chris Mauceri (7-3, 2 KO) squares off against Chinese newcomer Yuhang Xie in a featherweight contest.
