GLORY Kickboxing have announced that GLORY 33 New Jersey will feature a colossal Heavyweight co-headline as well as a four-man Featherweight tournament.
The event takes place at the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, NJ on Friday, Sept. 9 and features “The King of Kickboxing” Rico Verhoeven making the fifth defence of his Heavyweight championship, against Anderson “Braddock” Silva.
Joining an already stacked card will be two Heavyweights, as eight-year veteran Hesdy “Fighterheart” Gerges takes on Brazilian knockout machine Guto Inocente.
Gerges makes his first appearance since dropping a close split decision to Ismael Londt at GLORY 31: Amsterdam in June. Light-Heavyweight UFC veteran Inocente is most well known for his spinning hook kick knockout of Demoreo Dennis at GLORY 27: Chicago.
Also added to the card, the semi-final match-ups have been set for the Featherweight Contender Tournament, which feature former GLORY Featherweight champion Serhiy Adamchuk. The Ukrainian kickboxer who fights out of Mike’s Gym will face Georgia’s Giga Chikadze, who has won three of his last four fights.
On the other side of the tournament bracket, eighth ranked Chibin Lim hosts GLORY newcomer, Matt “Matics” Embree from Toronto. Embree is a former WBC and WMC North American Champion.
Also on the GLORY 33 SuperFight Series – exclusive to UFC Fight Pass – GLORY World champion Simon”Bad Bwoy” Marcus defends the gold against 25-year-old Dutch-mad man Jason “Psycho” Wilnis.
