Iman Barlow put on yet another dominant performance to defeat Ilsury Hendrikse via unanimous decision to retain her 54kg women’s championship at Enfusion Live 43.

Colombian Hendrikse who fights out of the Netherlands was a victim of Barlow’s dominance throughout the fight. The challenger nicknamed “The Mosquito” because of her fighting style which consists of constant forward pressure and active fighting style, was no match for the “Pretty Killer” was too big and too strong; and used her clinching with knees would smother Hendrikse when she would try to close the distance between the pair.

Keng Superpro Samui outclassed Pascal Koster to retain his 63kg Enfusion championship with a decision victory as he comfortably controlled the tempo of the fight. The body kicks of Keng would accumulate on Koster’s body who, despite being only 19 years of age gave a good account of himself despite the champion being a class above him on the night. Koster can only improve from this experience and shouldn’t be disheartened. However, Keng needs a much greater challenge in his next defence.

Nordin Ben Mo would get the decision win over Crice Boussoukou in the first of the three 72.5kg Enfusion League bouts of the night. The match would start of being a cagey an cautious affair between them but would improve throughout. However, it was clearly a clash of styles although Ben Mo who would finish the bout looking the more offensive of the two overall. However, considering Boussoukou’s potential and the flashes of his great ability in the past, what will it take for him to really start applying himself more consistently in a fight?

Tayfun Ozcan would finally fight Serginho Kanters after the fight was initially cancelled after the weigh-ins last night when Kanters missed weight. However, overnight Ozcan would accept the fight with, the “Turkish Turbine’ taking a convincing decision win in an entertaining fight. Kanters will be replaced in the 72.5kg Enfusion League after tonight and will instead move up to -75kg for future Enfusion bouts.

Mohammed Jaraya bounced back into the Enfusion League with a decision win against Jonay Risco. The fighting styles of both men made for one of the most entertaining fights of the night as the they maintained a relatively high tempo. Although Jaraya was back to winning ways after the decision loss to Tayfun Ozcan at Enfusion Live 41, it is hard to think of who else can closely challenge Ozcan as the 72.5kg Enfusion League unfolds in the new year.
