The UK’s best Thai Boxers will be looking to round off the year in emphatic fashion, when the Road to the Main Event returns to The Village Hotel, Ashton-under-Lyne on Saturday, Nov. 21.

In a rematch from last year’s Road to the Main Event, Tyler Liptrott and Leyton Collymore clash once again, this time with the ISKA English title up for grabs. Northern Spirit’s Collymore took the decision in 2014, using his combinations to get the better of an equally game Liptrott.

It will be Team #OO’s Liptrott looking for sweet revenge this time around, after a decent performance against Patryk Jelonkiewicz at The Main Event Arena Tour in May. Expect a very close contest, but should Collymore exercise his excellent clinch game it could be a long night for Liptrott.

After Dakota Ditcheva’s last performance, a tyrannical stoppage over Rebecca Caslin at The Main Event in May, the ceiling of expectation has yet again been heightened for young Ditcheva, who continues to solidify herself as Muay Thai’s premier breakthrough talent.

Northern Spirit’s Ditcheva will continue that climb when she faces Holland’s Esma HassHass of Team Smits.

HassHass fought against Samira on ENFUSION LIVE in April this year, picking up a pretty comfy decision win. The venomous leg kicks of HassHass, which she threw with high velocity, was her strong point, however she often struggled in the clinch of Samira. That being said, Ditcheva is known for having an expert, vice-like clinch, which could be a huge factor on Saturday night.

In the main event, top 10 Lightweights Andrew Lofthouse and Matty Maguire do battle, in a fight which could turn into a bloody war.

Lofthouse of Team #OO impressed at The Main Event Arena Tour, beating Matt Mckeown on points in a very technical showing.

This time last year, Lofthouse beat Ant Ferguson in an excellent Fight of the Night, which the former Evolve fighter utilised a deadly spinning elbow strike and knee combination for the win.

Maguire’s most recent win came earlier this year, a knockout of the very tough Shane Farqueson. Hanuman’s Maguire was scheduled to face Jordan Coe in September but withdrew through injury.

Many are calling this a potential Fight of the Year candidate, and with both men’s do or die style, it could be a cracking match-up.
