Paddy Pimblett (7-1) makes an exclusive appearance on this week’s MMA PLUS podcast as he prepares to take on Kevin Petshi (7-0) at FCC 12 in Bolton on March 28.

“The Baddy” made it known that his upcoming fight at The Macron doesn’t fall under his one fight exemption for Cage Warriors, but he expects the promotion to return early Summer.

“I think I get more than a one [fight exemption], I think my one fight exemption isn’t classed as this because the fight was already agreed,” said Pimblett.

“So I think I could get another fight in hopefully before Cage Warriors is back up and running. But hopefully they’ll be back sooner than ever, they should be back in about May, June, something like that, all the rumours about them going under, it’s not going to happen, they’re going to come back stronger.”

Not one to shy away from controversy, Paddy Pimblett also called out North East fighter Andy “The Little Axe” Ogle (9-6), who just recently was released from his UFC contract after a slew of four straight losses.

“He would get leathered. I was talking before about this, Ogle, someone said in the gym, and I just turned and looked as if to say ‘can we ask for that fight?’ I would take that fight tomorrow, within a heart beat I would take that fight, and I’d just prove to everyone how good I am, because people just don’t realise yet how good I am.”

You can listen to the FULL MMA PLUS podcast with Next Generation’s Paddy Pimblett between 4:22-18:40
